Shubman Gill’s father, Lakhwinder Singh, was a farmer. He was born in the village of ‘Chak Khere Wala’ which is located near Jalalabad in the Fazilka district of Punjab state. Shubman Gill’s sister’s name is Shaheen Gill. According to Lakhwinder Singh he quit farming in his village and migrated to Mohali to make his child a professional cricketer.
